We just wrapped one of our biggest shoots to date with Globite, an Australian icon in the travel goods industry.
Here’s how it went!
Globite reached out to us as they needed to shoot a large volume of new products for their website.
One of the reasons they chose FBS is because we’re a full-service studio, meaning the product can stay in the studio in between shoot days. This is a huge benefit when you have a large quantity of products to shoot, and gives you more flexibility in terms of studio time.
Our clients shotlist was divided into styled, talent and eCommerce photos, with references, lighting plans, angles + number of shots included. This was a huge help when it came to shooting, a good shotlist can make all the difference!
We started with styled imagery of their luggage and bags. There was a lot of adjusting, double-sided tape and fishing wire involved and with the help of their very talented stylist and her props we were able to create crisp, cohesive images that really capture the essence of the Globite aesthetic.
Talent imagery was next – including a human element in your images is a great way to show the scale of your products and show your brands personality.
eCommerce is often the most technical portion of any photoshoot. Luckily, since we’re a full-service studio, we were able to leave the lighting setup in place for as long as it took. Moving lights around in between shoot days can affect the consistency of your images.
After we had shot everything, we moved on to post-production. We colour-matched the products and then gave them to our retouching team with references that the client provided. Colour matching for eCommerce photography is incredibly important – as a customer, there’s nothing worse than receiving a product that looks different to what you ordered online.
“It’s been such a pleasure working together on this project and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. Meredith, thank you so much for your organisation, this shoot wouldn’t have come together without you. Dan, the photos look incredible! The lighting, angles, and quality of the shots are exactly what we were hoping for.”
